Il manuale è articolato in 5 moduli tematici (antropologia, sociologia, psico-pedagogia, diritto ed economia), più due percorsi dedicati alla metodologia CLIL su argomenti di attualità (lavoro e scuola). La struttura modulare permette di lavorare in modo organizzato e flessibile, consentendo all’insegnante di personalizzare l’apprendimento.
Alla fine di ogni percorso, mappe concettuali seguite da un breve riepilogo, riassumono i concetti fondamentali.
Ogni modulo termina con un’ampia scelta di brani inerenti gli argomenti trattati, Literature Connections, corredati da numerosi esercizi. Seguono suggerimenti di letture tematiche relative, Reader’s Corner, e attività per migliorare listening e speaking partendo da trailers di film, Time for a Movie.
La rubrica Good to know offre curiosità, indiscrezioni e stranezze relative agli argomenti trattati.
Civiltà, storia e cultura del mondo anglosassone sono trattate nella sezione Culture Insight. L’Annex Looking for a job guida lo studente a compiere i passi fondamentali nella ricerca di un lavoro (saper rispondere a un annuncio, scrivere una lettera di motivazione e un Curriculum Vitae in modo corretto).
In fondo al libro un approccio attuale e accattivante alla letteratura e ai relativi periodi storici attraverso segmenti di video tratti dal web, Exploring English Literature Through Videos.
Nell’eBook multimediale la sezione To go deeper propone numerosi approfondimenti corredati da esercizi, inseriti anche nella guida per l’insegnante. Qui i docenti troveranno anche un’ampia sezione dedicata agli studenti BES e DSA (Special Educational Needs): tutto il manuale semplificato con numerosi esercizi, soluzioni e test di verifica. Ampio spazio è stato dato anche alla programmazione per competenze con relative prove, ai percorsi di alternanza scuola-lavoro e alle indicazioni per chi desidera cimentarsi con la metodologia della classe rovesciata (Flipped Classroom).
